don't you guys just hate those broadband usb sticks that these companies are making? they just stick out of your laptop. so if you want to sit comfortably at home, and try to wrk with the laptop in yoru lap, the stick gets doesn't let you. It actually 'sticks' out!

so why can't somebody tell these broadband providers to give something more innovative. the earlier card based ones were good. at lesat they would fit inside the laptop and not 'stick' out!

You're right. Even Reliance has (for some strange reason) stopped selling the white Broadband USB stick which could be folded up.

MTS Blaze has a device that folds up though.

Add to that the fact that most laptops now don't come with full size PCMCIA cards - only express card slots. My guess is that there should be some express card devices soon.

We recently saw a netbook by a brand called Olive (http://www.olive.me) - its called the Olive Zipbook, and it has Tata Photon Broadband built in. Not only are all your USB ports free, nothing sticks out at all. There should be more such netbooks and full size notebooks out soon.

Cheers,
Hitesh
